cizma's personnel comments

"Ramadan"

whole month = 30 days. I really wondered how can they survive this fasting : )
Actually, Muslim can eat at night time (after sunset, before sunrise). Muslim can not eat just during the daytime. What I surprised is that Muslim can not drink and smoke either.
My first Ramadan (fasting) was in 1999. Although I got a headache at the very first day, I like Ramadan. I can concentrate on my faith more than usual and feel unity through special activities in Ramadan.

"Pork"

Muslim do not eatPork. It's clear in our Holy Book, "Al-Q'ran". Like "He has only forbidden you what dies of itself, and blood, and flesh of swine(=pork) , and that over which any other (name) than (that of) Allah has been invoked; but whoever is driven to necessity, not desiring, nor exceeding the limit, no sin shall be upon him; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful." [Al-Baqara 2:173]
If you ask me "Why you don't eat pork?", I will answer "Because it's prohibited." I know this answer may not satisfy you. I know it doesn't sound logical. Before I convert to Islam, I also thought that this answer was not logical because he/she do not know the exact scientific reason. However I do same answer, even I know this answer do not satisfy you.
Once I became a Muslim, "How to practice what Allah says in Al-Q'ran?" is more important than worrying about "How to give up these delicious Pork/Ham/Bacon meals?"
I do not want to do anything that Allah has forbidden. In addition, I really believe that Allah has not forbidden anything without the reason. (Although I can not find the reason. I'm just a human!)

More and more will be forthcoming....INSHALLAH!
